Little Musical Pigs
Did you know guinea pigs enjoy music? As long as it isn't too loud! Here is a collection of little tales about some of our musically-inclined pig friends!
One day my husband found some music on the computer that had beats every once in while and played it in front of our guinea pigs, Eddie and Snowball. We had just adopted Snowball and so we didn't know his personality very well, and had no idea how funny he was! Well, every time Snowball heard the beat he would move his head from side to side as if to say, "What's that? What's that?".
I trained my guinea pig, Duncan, how to squeak whenever I say the name '*NSYNC' which is my favorite music group. (You've probably heard of them!) So whenever I say '*NSYNC' to him, or casually say it in a conversation with someone else, he squeaks. It's so cute!
When I first got Crackers he loved to listen to "modern music"- at that time it was the Spice Girls, if he was WHEEPing, he would stop and listen to the music. Then, as he got older he started to like classic music, symphonys and stuff, instead! Isn't that wild?
An amazing thing about my guinea pig, Fly, is that she loves to drink tea and eat biscuits in front of the tv, she even squeks along to the signature tune!!!!
I like to listen to CDs or the radio a lot. My guinea pig, Scooter, wheeks along with the music and does the shaking head jump thing.
